I’m James, the sole technician behind SavedGame. I’ve spent 12 years repairing phones, tablets, laptops and small appliances running Mend My iPhone, and these days my focus is board-level console repair — the kind of fault that gets a console written off elsewhere.
I work solo, based in Market Weighton, East Yorkshire. From the moment your console arrives to the moment it’s back in your hands, I’m the one diagnosing it, repairing it, and the one you’re actually talking to if you have a question — not a call centre, not a different technician every time.
Whether it’s a dead PS5, an Xbox that won’t stop shutting down, or a controller with stick drift, I diagnose the real cause before quoting, and repair at component level wherever I can — because a full board swap isn’t always necessary, and it’s not fair to charge you for one when it isn’t.

Is there a charge for diagnosis?
We charge a £30 fee, waived if you go ahead with the repair?] We’ll always confirm the cause and the cost before any work goes ahead.
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the fault and parts availability. Once diagnosed, we’ll give you a clear timescale before you approve anything.
Can I drop my console off in person?
Yes — drop-off is available at 9 Southgate, Market Weighton. Ideally book in advance with us before hand.
Can I post my console in?
Yes — our UK-wide mail-in repair service covers the whole country, not just East Yorkshire. We charge charges £6 tracked / £10 special delivery
What warranty do repairs come with?
Yes – we give a 12 month warrany with all repairs.
Do you work with other repair shops?
Yes — SavedGame offers a B2B repair service for shops that don’t have board-level equipment or expertise in-house, while staying your direct point of contact throughout.
