PS2 Beauty Products – sprays, skin oils and facecreams tested
This article is about polishing up PS4 and other consoles after repair and before giving back to the customer or putting up for sale – becuase it’ll get you noticed and aesthetically you can charge more. I randonly have 3 dirty PS2’s that I didn’t clean before doing this test that all came from the same person at the same carboot on the same day. So a pretty good basis for a test.
Guy who picked the PS4 up from me said – ‘wow – it looks like new’.
I’d randomly used a dashboard shine spray I had in and it set me thinking there might be better ones out there so I tested 3. Pictures don’t really show much in the way of difference so i’m going to give you my written perceptions.
I taped the centre and polished the right hand side of all consoles.

The three products we tested on consoles to make them sparkle
1 The Beauty Spray
Armour All Semi Matt finish Protectant 300ml (uk price £4.99 inc vat)
This was the one I used originally and it gave a great finish – not slipppy – not over shiny but was a little bit. It just sprays on like spray and using a microfibre cloth buffs up and cleans.
7/10

2 The Beauty Oil
Vividella Car Plastick Restorer – Black bumper 65g (uk price £6.99 inc vat)
Tiny little bottle of oil for general plastics, everything from bumper to interior is listed. It’s a small botlle and will despite it’s size go a long way. A few drops, again I used microfibre but it came with a dinky sponge. It felt good rubbing it in, almost like it felt I was nouriushing it – apparently removes scrathces – posssibly an over-rated claim.
Same end result to as the spray – no better no worse. It has one one start review on Amazon – they were unfair.
7/10
3 The Beauty Cream

Loruken Car Interior Plastic scratch repair and removating paste 80g (uk price £9.99 inc vat)
My favourite of the three, left it feeling and looking newer than any of the others. It’s like cross between Nivea and that green slime we had as kids, well sorta – anyway it comes with a circular sponge and so i tenderly rubbed the surface of the PS2 and after it isn’t remotely slippery and is the nicest looking of all of them.
8/10

There are better products out there but I’m not buying anty more to test until I’ve finished these off in 2 years.
🚨I am in no way affialiated with the awful global capitalist menace that is Amazon I just chose it cos anyone in this group technically has access to them. I always recommend if you find a product you like you sack Amazon off and use a local independant store and stop them going to the dogs. Shop Local – Keep independants alive.
